Dave Barkewitz, Imperial Officer, Sith Lord, Darth Maul! At North Ridge, we affectionately know him as
Dave.
Dave is a versatile character creator; he fluently can go from an Imperial Officer to Heath Ledger’s Joker. He brings these characters to life with his passion for realism. He readily offers advice and help to others just learning the craft.
Dave got interested in cosplay because in his own words, “I love bringing characters to life. Seeing people of all ages react to a character is something I truly enjoy.”
His favorite cosplay is Darth Maul. Dave says, “I was obsessed with the character from day one. And becoming the character was a dream come true.”
In his own words, “I have been costuming since 2008. And it has only grown in interest. Now I portray several of my favorite characters from many fandoms.”
